Ascend provides services such as therapy/counseling, ABA therapy (Early Start Denver Model and behavior support services), and IEP help and advocacy for people with autism and other developmental disabilities and their families. We are based in Sacramento, CA and provide services in Sacramento, Folsom, Rancho Cordova, Roseville, Elk Grove, Rocklin, and offer telehealth when appropriate.
Social Skills Group- Summer 2024
We are currently filling our fall social skills group. This group is for children aged 11-13 who have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder or other social concerns. This group will focus on friendship, emotional communication, coping skills, fair gameplay, and conversation. Each group will have about 45 minutes of a lesson and then 30 minutes of gameplay/practice. Parents will participate in a concurrent group to learn how to best support their child.

UCLA PEERS: Teen Group
PEERS for Adolescence is an evidence-based social skills intervention for motivated teens. In this group we will work on making and keeping friends, handling conflict and rejection, and building skills for navigating complex social situations like humor, teasing and flirting. Parents will participate in a simultaneous group to learn how to support their teen in the process.
