We understand that the Individual Education Program (IEP) process can be confusing for parents who have children in special education. That is why we have created this free parent resource. Our IEP handbook was created to be a practical, easy to read reference for parents. Our handbook contains information on how IEPs work, how to request an IEP evaluation, how to prepare for an IEP meeting, information on Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP), red flags to look out for in your child’s IEP or BIP, and a list of resources.
This resource was designed to be most helpful for children receiving IEP services under the categories of autism or intellectual disability but will be helpful for any parent who has a child in special education.
